How to choose today’s mat
Use this order. Skipping ahead is how a short practice turns into a search for the perfect session and then into no session.
1. Name the minutes you actually have
Look at the clock, not at the practice you wish you were the kind of person to do. If you have ten minutes, the session is ten minutes, including the finish. If you have twenty, you still keep a finish. Do not borrow against the next thing in your day. A container that overruns becomes a reason to avoid the mat tomorrow.
2. Name attention without ranking it
Steady means you can stay with one shape or one small series. Scattered means you will probably leave and come back inside your own head. Thin means the honest container is the short one. None of these words is a level. They expire when the session ends. You do not write them onto an account.
3. Pick one invitation
Yoga, on Yopimat, is an invitation to shapes and to staying, with the breath you already have. Pilates is an invitation to a controlled series and to placement. Choose one before you move. If you cannot choose, choose the one whose description sounds more like the attention you named. Do not combine them in a single short session out of fairness to both words.
4. Arrive, stay, finish
Arrival is a moment on the mat when you have not started a catalogue of movement. The middle is a few shapes or a short series, repeated only while they stay clear. The finish is stillness you do not skip: lying down or standing, with no new task added. If you stop early because something feels wrong, the finish can simply be stopping. This guide will not interpret that feeling. It is not medical advice, and it is not a statement about safety for any condition.
5. If you write a note, keep it with the session
A note may record the minutes, the invitation, and the attention word. It is designed, in the app being built, to remain on the device. It is not a profile and it does not belong in a message to the studio. You may also write nothing. The article on notes is the longer version of this rule.
Yopimat is prelaunch. This guide is the public explanation of the choice, written by Clutch Developer in Barcelona. It does not replace a teacher in the room with you, and it does not invent one.
